about

Four songs recorded in the blackest of Scottish winters through '15 and '16..........

We placed a stone upon the place where he was martyred. Although his name was lost to the sands of time we needed nothing but Divinatus to raise him up.

The church was built, domes upon domes, pillars upon pillars and voice upon voice raised to the sky. The word of the pure shall be aspired to by the whole of Humana. Pontiffs, Cardinals, Priests, Friars and novices all wear the mark of the Divine, etched into their faces by the blade and the chisel. The pain, fear and blood remind them that they are nothing without his grace.

There are also those that cannot be accepted into the fold. They will serve the light with their sweat, their blood, their screams and their sacrifice. Blistered skin shears off in the flames of redemption, their eyes are pulled from their skulls to enlighten, they are torn limb from limb to make them see the true way.

The terror is that of the Divine. The relentless screaming of the violated is a song of angels praising his name. The splintering of bone and bursting of entrails is the music that soothes his journey back to his people.

They went their separate ways, down their own dark paths, but inside the black heart of man still yearned for communion. Fate weaved its evil way and reunited them in the torment of the present, urging them to remake what was once pure. ... more
